Embrace Your Abundance Experiences

Wealth accumulates; abundance must be embraced in the heart.SM

My fundamental belief is that while individuals need to focus on managing assets responsibly, they must also choose to do the work of the heart to fully embrace the abundance they have. I have created three types of experiences for you to Discover your vision for living with abundance, Learn what holds you back, and how to Act intentionally to create a plan to move forward.

“Our participants are still talking about their experience with Kathleen. She asks thought-provoking questions and guides powerful conversations that take our understanding of what philanthropy can be to a whole new level.”

– Andrea Reeder, Chief Philanthropy Officer, Asante Foundation, Medford, Oregon

The innovative and interactive Embrace Your Abundance Experiences are tailored to the needs of large and small audiences. Potential sponsors may include:

  • Wealth managers may offer an introductory talk as part of an event or educational series.  They may recommend private coaching to some clients.

  • Podcast hosts seeking content on the human experiences related to intergenerational wealth transfer, making philanthropic decisions, or women and money.

  • Family offices that seek to deepen the connection among family members through vulnerability-based trust conversations focused on how to embrace their abundance.

  • Groups of friends who are willing to share their stories to learn and grow.

Three Embrace Your Abundance Experiences

Each of these experiences covers the themes of Discover, Learn, and Act.  As a follow-up to a gathering or circle some of the group may take advantage of a free 1:1 debrief.

Gathering: Up to 50 people

Events are tailored to the needs of the audience and the desired outcome for the hosting group. • 90-minute interactive workshop • Speaking engagement (podcast, keynote, conference session) that offers a compelling introduction to the concepts.

Circle: up to 10 friends

A Circle is organized by a host who can create a trusted group to allow for vulnerable and courageous conversations. Given the connection among the Circle members, they will learn, share insights, ask questions, and create an initial roadmap for moving forward.

Private 1:1 coaching

Private coaching is for individuals who reach a crossroads where it is clear they need a guide for the journey ahead. In weekly calls over two to three months, I guide clients to gain clarity about what matters most. Over time they begin to unlock a freedom that allows them to create a roadmap of choices and actions to move closer to their vision.

What it is not: I do not ask for financial reports, discuss taxes, or advise on charitable giving.

What you receive: For each experience, I created a tailored toolkit.

Themes of Embrace Your Abundance Experiences

Each of the three experiences explore these three stages of a journey using interactive tools and journaling:

Discover:
  • It may be possible to embrace our abundance
  • What limits our ability to have conversations with those closest to us
  • What balance we want to create between spending, saving, gifting, and charitable giving
Learn:
  • To assess our legacy as it stands today and where we want it to be
  • To reflect on the defining moments in our lives that shape our values
  • To gain direction on how best to work with nonprofits
Act:
  • To own the vision we have for our legacy
  • To identify what needs to change
  • To create an initial roadmap for change; choose actions and commit to tracking progress

Participants will receive a tailored toolkit that includes concepts shared and space for reflection.

Format:

In addition to learning concepts illuminated by stories, participants will have time for quiet reflection and guided discussion with others in the workshop. Personal sharing is not required.

Outcomes:

Participants will leave the program with:

  • A deeper understanding of how they view their abundance
  • A roadmap for conversations they may want to have with family or advisors
  • Ideas of what they choose to explore as part of their legacy
  • Clarity on the action steps to move them forward

Poet Mary Oliver captures the urgency and power of this journey in her final lines of The Summer Day:

“Doesn’t everything die at last, and too soon? Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”
